Such a fun way to get the message of Tolerance out there. I couldn't put it down, so imaginative, well written, spectacular doesn't even begin to describe this piece of work. I can't wait for the next book to come out & to attend the Tolerance Festival this October in Houston. I even attended K. Garcia's 1st book signing in Houston.5/5(2).

Picture books are a wonderful tool to teach tolerance and diversity. In a multicultural world, discrimination is all around us. It is important to help children be tolerant and sensitive to differences.

Use the books below to celebrate diversity. Explore the tolerance book list to start discussions on tolerance. The book is presented in four sections: Introductory topics to position the tolerance development process, Traditional Analytical and Computer-Aided Tolerance Development, Taguchi's Approach to Experimental Methods of Tolerance Development, as well as several actual industrial case studies illustrating the book's by: Books have a way of sparking empathy, drawing readers into the lives of characters who may be different from themselves -- or different from other characters in the story.

Kids and teens walk in others' shoes as these characters -- or real-life kids -- navigate the school bus, deal with bullies, fall in love, face physical or mental challenges.

This book has seven chapters, each centered on an in-depth classroom narrative. Two kinds of sidebars supplement the main stories. “Reflections” are research-based essays addressing specific themes or develop-mental aspects of teaching tolerance, such as racial awareness, gender equity or File Size: 1MB.

Glaser, Executive DirectorFile Size: 1MB. Tolerance today is synonymous with multiculturalism. It means to accept and embrace other races, religions, and ideas without prejudice or judgment. Tolerance also means respecting others for their differences whether they are race differences, religious differences or even socioeconomic differences.
